HF 2 High Frequency Spark Generator
The LUMETRON HF-2 Spark Generator, from LUMETRONICS is designed and manufactured to provide a compact source of high voltage, high frequency output to check and detect the presence or lack of vacuum in evacuated shells such as GLS and Fluorescent Lamps, bimetallic Fluorescent Starters, Discharge Lamps etc. It can also be used to detect leakages in such products.

Additionally, it can be used as a completely safe source to start High Pressure discharge lamps that require an ignitor to start – such as High Pressure Sodium Vapor (HPSV) Lamps. When testing HPSV lamps using digital circuits, electronic ignitors can completely damage and destroy the sensitive electronic circuits due to the high voltage pulses that they generate. The LUMETRON HF-2 high Frequency Spark Generator can be used to manually start such lamps in a completely safe manner.
